LeakExpert is a system for water loss and leak detection in municipal drinking-water networks: it finds physical loss by acoustic listening, measures flow and pressure continuously, and manages the whole field on one platform. More than 25 years of field experience, built into a mobile app and a web panel.
The basis of the method
Consumption stops at night. The higher the minimum night flow measured at the reservoir outlet, the more leakage is running below ground. By international consensus, roughly 70% of that volume is physical loss and 30% is apparent loss. We turn that difference into a number without any excavation.
Measurement and analysis servicesOne system
Web and mobile work as one: the field crew records on a phone, the office manages from the web panel, and the API connects both sides and the GSM flow meters in real time.

API infrastructure detailField services
Day and night acoustic listening and correlation locate the leak point below ground to the metre. Non-destructive.
Ultrasonic flow meter installation, minimum night flow analysis, IWA water balance and non-revenue water (NRW) calculation.
24/7 pressure tracking with data loggers, anomaly reporting, pipe life and burst risk management.
All fault and loss points are mapped with coordinates; the municipality receives an interactive map and a digital archive.
Isolated zone setup and test methods narrow down which main the loss is concentrated in.
Training for municipal teams in acoustic listening, pressure management and digital infrastructure planning.
Working method
The network map, meter data and the existing water balance are reviewed. Critical zones and a priority order are set.
Flow and pressure loggers are installed. Day/night acoustic listening is carried out and data is collected regularly.
Data is processed in a GIS environment. Leak points are located on the map and ranked by impact.
A fault report, water balance and NRW calculation are delivered. The loop closes with a post-repair check listen.

Values are compiled from completed project reports; they are verified with the utility's own data in each case.
